With over 30 years of dynamic leadership in the mortgage industry, Scott founded SiFi Lending as an institution for innovative lending solutions and a commitment to client satisfaction while providing a complete loan origination platform for experienced mortgage professionals.
He is a seasoned business executive renowned for delivering exceptional results and driving growth in competitive markets. A visionary leader in the mortgage industry, Scott founded BWC Mortgage Services affiliated with Bank of Walnut Creek in 1994, pioneering the concept of bank-mortgage broker partnerships—the first of its kind in the nation. When Bank of Walnut Creek was acquired by First Republic Bank in 2006, he bought out the bank’s interest and took it private. In 2008, he sold half of the company to Redding Bank of Commerce and rebranded as Bank of Commerce Mortgage. Due to the success and growth of the company, he went on to acquire back the Redding Bank of Commerce’s 51% interest and established Commerce Home Mortgage in 2012. From there, CHM became a nationwide force with over 27 branches across the US and closing over $3 billion in loans annually. In 2018, he orchestrated the sale of the company to a Private Equity firm.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Scott graduated with a BA in Business from St. Mary’s College and continues to invest in his community helping those around him bring their visions to life whether it is residential, commercial and Private Capital Lending.
